Kinor Jiang: Cloth / Landscape
The Fashion Gallery
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
15 April - 14 June 2019
The exhibition “Cloth / Landscape” is an exploration of
experimental art by Kinor Jiang who uses his own
developed metallic textiles. Unlike his previous
exhibitions, metalled textiles and tailor-made
garments from these textiles are presented in this
exhibition as visual elements in the art installation.
The intention is to create space that encourages
dialogue and awareness of how cloth is more than just
clothing. The exhibition shows Jiang’s distinctive
interpretation of Chinese landscape and modern art,
which offers a glimpse into another reality.
“Cloth / Landscape” shows that the design and
craftsmanship of fabric is based on the mastery of
synthesizing time and temperature.
